About us
Making an impact through scientific research has become increasingly important in recent years. Xendens is the academic centre for dialogue and society. It is part of the Department of Ethics, Law and Humanities (ERH) of Amsterdam UMC. Xendens is a multidisciplinary centre where we work with partners from practice on issues in the social domain.
Mission and vision With Xendens, we want to contribute to better health care, an inclusive society, good science and the training of reflective professionals. In this way, we can make a contribution to society. This is the Xendens mission.
Through Xendens, we want to combine socially relevant knowledge and expertise, make it more widely available and actively share it with partners in the field. We believe that by connecting and co-creating, new ideas and knowledge emerge that are relevant for practice and science. We see that by bringing together different forms of knowledge (experiential, professional and scientific knowledge), new ways of working emerge, leading to real change and innovation. Xendens offers a wide range of expertise from different disciplines, which enables us to deliver tailor-made work.
Combining the different perspectives and specific knowledge results in a unique offer of high-quality services.
