Welcome to Xendens!
Xendens is the Academic Centre for Dialogue and Society. In this multidisciplinary centre we work with practitioners from the field on issues in the social domain.
We use research to develop products and services that have broad application in society. In this way, we ensure that as many people as possible can benefit from the knowledge we develop in collaboration with practitioners. In doing so, we contribute to improving care, optimizing research, and creating a more inclusive society.
The services we offer are at the intersection of practice and science. We believe that collaboration between different backgrounds and disciplines leads to valuable changes for practice. Let's engage with each other. Together, we can make an impact.

Services
Over the years, we have developed a wide range of training courses, advice on specific topics, guidelines and other tools that bring together practice and science. These services have been developed with and for organizations and professionals, both inside and outside the healthcare sector. And in particular for organizations and professionals who are committed to reflection, inclusion and dialogue. Curious about what Xendens has to offer? Go to Services to see what is of interest to you.

All researchers who contribute to the development of Xendens' services are affiliated to the Department of Ethics, Law and Humanities of Amsterdam UMC. This department is characterized by its interdisciplinary character and conducting research with and in practice. As a result, social issues can be approached from a broad perspective, combining knowledge from the fields of medical law, medical ethics, research integrity, participation, and diversity.
