The Festival of Unexpected Subjects is back!
On June 25th, we will gather at the historic Zonnehuis (in Amsterdam) to explore the theme: 'Art (as) Care.’ This year, we have curated an amazing lineup of workshops, exhibitions, and music performances for you. And we would be thrilled to see you all there!
On this cheerful festival, artists, social scientists, philosophers and the audience explore ways to think about, cherish and practice caring and being cared for, in particular through art or mundane makings. In what ways is art caring? How may care include art? How can we support art-as-care, or argue for the unarguable?
At the festival, we care-fully experiment with the place of the audience. This isn’t just a festival to watch: it’s a place to participate and experience. Expect music, dance, and hands/heads/hearts-on workshops that will challenge and surprise you.
Curious about the program? Our festival line-up is officially live! 🌿
