Summerschool: open for application!
As announced earlier, the organisation of the Empirical Bioethics Summer School now invites applications to attend this June in Amsterdam.
Following the success of our Empirical Bioethics Summer and Winter Schools in June 2022 and 2023, there is another Summerschool on the practice and methodology of empirical bioethics research being organised in June 2025 in Amsterdam. The program will run over four days.
The organization of this third edition of the Summer School is in the hands of Jonathan Ives (University of Bristol), Michael Dunn (National University of Singapore), Jan Schildmann (MLU Halle-Wittenberg), and Bert Molewijk (Amsterdam UMC & VU university).

The deadline of application for the Summerschool is 29th of January 2025. You will be notified asap if we have selected the candidates (probably the beginning of February).

| The Festival of Unexpected Subjects is back! |
|
| On June 25th, we will gather at the historic Zonnehuis (in Amsterdam) to explore the theme: 'Art (as) Care.’ This year, we have curated an amazing lineup of workshops, exhibitions, and music performances for you. And we would be thrilled to see you all there!
On this cheerful festival, artists, social scientists, philosophers and the audience explore ways to think about, cherish and practice caring and being cared for, in particular through art or mundane makings. In what ways is art caring? How may care include art? How can we support art-as-care, or argue for the unarguable?
At the festival, we care-fully experiment with the place of the audience. This isn’t just a festival to watch: it’s a place to participate and experience. Expect music, dance, and hands/heads/hearts-on workshops that will challenge and surprise you.
